Part apologetics, part political manifesto and part investment advisor, Good Returns: Making Money by Morally Responsible Investing, gives the reader a good return on time invested in reading this book.
Author and Chartered Investment Counselor George P. Schwartz, CFA, distinguishes "Morally Responsible Investing," based on morality that excludes abortion and pornography while reinforcing family values, from "Socially Responsible Investing" which funds a liberal agenda. He gives the Ave Maria Fund's beginnings and details some of the challenges its founders faced. His vision is for Americans to use their investment money to change society.
Schwartz gives an analysis of America's current financial woes and offers projections about the future. He looks at Obama's policies from the perspective of a financial counselor. He also gives sound advice for managing personal investments in easily-grasped terms.
I highly recommend Good Returns for all Americans. This book is teen-approved for its call to responsible morality.
