Book Giveaway!
Read on for details.
Dear Reader,
Hello from the snowy wonders of colorful Colorado. My name is Amber Stockton, although some folks out there know me as Tiff, my first name. Amber is my middle and it sounded better for an author name, so I stuck with it. Janalyn has invited me here to chat a bit with you about me, my latest book and my upcoming writing projects. So, here I am. I hope you’ll stick around for a least a few minutes.
So much about me can be found on my web site, so I’m not going to bore you with those details. If you want to know the blah-blah stuff, you can check out the “about Amber” page on my site. Instead, I’ll share a little about the quirky and what some have described as magnetic lady who usually hides behind a busy and sometimes over-involved exterior.
It’s true. Almost everyone who knows me well has said they don’t know how I manage to do all I do and stay sane. Well first, who says I’m sane? I mean, I must be crazy to take on everything I do. Chalk it up to loving people and loving to be connected anywhere I go or wherever I find myself. Ahh, the curse of an extrovert nature. So far it’s served me well, though. Guess I don’t see a reason to change…too much anyway.
But enough about me. How about this new book that’s releasing this month. Actually, it’s not “new” per se. It’s entitled, Liberty’s Promise, and it’s a collection of my first 3 novels. I’m excited to see this omnibus in print, and I absolutely LOVE the cover. It embodies so much of the stories tucked within its pages. And what are those stories, you ask? I suppose I should tell you. J Why else would you be here, right?
Ok, they are 3 novels that follow a single family across 3 generations from the Great Awakening of 1740 to the French and Indian Ware and through the Revolutionary War, all set in the modern-day state of Delaware. I’m a great lover of history, and have a passion for the true legacy of the great nation of the United States, the way our Founding Fathers intended this nation to be. That’s what I attempted to include in these stories, and it’s my hope that some of those dreams shine through in the characters you’ll get to know. So, if you’re a fan of the Colonial era, love the movies, Last of the Mohicans or The Patriot, this book’s for you! And you not only get one story. You get THREE in one book. A bargain at an amazing price.
What’s better is if you leave a comment on this post, you’ll be entered to win a FREE autographed copy.
All right. Now, I’ve regaled you with a little about me and a little about the book being featured. The only thing left is to say that I don’t currently have any books under contract, but I have several out with editors and agents under consideration. I’m attempting to switch from category romance to trade-length historical fiction, and it’s almost like being a brand-new author again. So, the road is a long one to haul, but it’s one I love to travel, and I welcome the challenge.
Of course, if you happen to have any connections with editors or agents out there and wish to put in a good word for me, I certainly won’t stop you. *winks* But seriously, I owe a great deal of thanks to you, my readers, for dropping by and visiting with me and for reading my books. An author is no one without readers. My sincerest gratitude to you for sticking with me here for a few moments and for your support.
Be blessed on whatever journey you’re traveling, and if you would like to chat further with me, I would love to dialogue with you through my web site, blog, Facebook or Twitter. Drop by my site to connect with me. Let’s have a tall glass of sweet tea and some home-baked cookies and set a spell on my wide front porch. I look forward to hearing from you.
Before I go, thank you to Janalyn for having me here today. It’s been quite a pleasure.
I'll post the winner of "Liberty's Promise" on this blog on Friday (and notify the person individually). Comments may be posted until Thursday at midnight (Pacific time).
